Ebtech SCIF Buildings with EMI and RFI Shielding
Electromagnetic interference (EMI), also called radio-frequency interference (RFI) when at radio wavelengths, is a disturbance that affects the electrical circuit in a device due to either electromagnetic induction or electromagnetic radiation emitted from an external source. The disturbance may interrupt, obstruct, or otherwise degrade or limit the effective performance of the circuit. These effects can range from a simple degradation of data to a total loss of data. The source may be any object, artificial or natural, that carries rapidly changing electrical currents.
Ebtech builds SCIFs with integrated EMI and RFI shielding for use in any industry where isolation from such interference is critical, e.g. buildings that house computers, sensitive data or telecommunications equipment. Ebtech’s multi-layered sandwich system wall technology blocks unwanted radiation and can be combined with protection from explosions and ballistic threats.
